Camping

Camping in Kuwait is truly a soothing and an amazing experience. I always do it with family as it’s nice to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the city. Here are some companies that rent out camps though I have not tried them myself:

Prime One Holidays
• Aware centre (I’m sure most of you are familiar with them) have a yearly camp as well usually.
Hope you all enjoy Kuwait during at its best during winter, personally it’s my favourite time.

Culture & traditions: Eid in Kuwait

Eid al-Fitr in Kuwait will fall on Monday, May 2nd 2022. The Eid al-Fitr vacation in Kuwait will take place from Sunday, May 1st to Thursday, May 5.

The celebration of Eid al-Fitr, which follows Ramadan, usually takes place over three days. After a month of abstaining from food, drink, smoking and conjugal relations from dawn to sunset, Muslims celebrate with congregational prayer, charity and joyful social exchanges.

What is Eid?

In its purest sense, the Arabic word ‘Eid’ refers to something that returns and is repeated. It is also known as a celebration. The Eids are unique festivals when Muslims celebrate their spiritual progress with worship, charity, socialisation and festivity. Throughout the Eid, the people will dress in their finest clothes and families will exchange visits and entertain children with outings and monetary gifts.

There are two Eids during the year and they constitute major holidays in Kuwait. The celebration of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adhaa, which follows the pilgrimage season, are both celebrated in the similar fashion.
